With State Testing right around the corner for grades 3rd-8th, we wanted to spread some light on how we can all help our kids do their very best:
- Get a good night sleep
- Eat a good breakfast
- Take your time
- Take deep breathes
- Try your best! 😊
Transportation Update: Auxilio will no longer be able to make any changes to bus stop locations for the remainder of the 23- 24 school year due to bus capacity.

As we head into the second half of the school year, we wanted to send a reminder of Ohio Truancy and HB410 Laws pertaining to student absences. If you want to know your student’s current standing, you can always log on to your power school portal OR call the front office for more direct information.
Excessive Absences ( Codes E, EP, U, UP)
- 38 hrs/6 days, Excused or Unexcused, within a month- long timeframe, periodically. This is per/each calendar month.
- 65 hrs/10 days, Excused or Unexcused, within a school year, periodically.
Habitual Truancy ( Codes U, UP)
- 30 hrs/5 days consecutive (straight) Unexcused.
- 42 hrs/ 7 days within a month – long timeframe Unexcused , periodically. This is per/each calendar month.
- 72 hrs/11 days within a school year Unexcused, periodically.

- 05/22: 1st-7th Grade Last Day (Early Dismissal @12:00 p.m.)
- 05/27: Memorial Day/Building Closed
- 06/03: Summer School Starts/Main Office Summer
Hours Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. – noon (12:00 p.m.)
23-24 School Year Dismissal Changes
•Any students entering after 8:15 a.m. and leaving prior to 3:30 p.m., must be signed out by a parent/guardian in the main office.
•Dismissal changes must be communicated to the front office prior to 2:00 p.m. on the day of.
•Phones may not be answered between 2:30 p.m.- 3:40 p.m. to help prepare for dismissal.
•No student will be dismissed after 2:30 p.m. unless previously communicated with the front office.
•No parents will be permitted into the building at anytime without scheduling an appointment.
•All parents are to wait outside the door for their student.
•During dismissal, all parents must wait on the parking lot side of the bridge.
These policies have been put in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
